Invisible
Nothing is truly invisible, but the Invisalign® appliance comes very close to it. It is actually a Removable Appliance, which comprises a transparent aligner that entirely covers all of the teeth. Using sophisticated computer technology a series of these are designed for the patient, starting with one that conforms to the initial position of their teeth and ending with one conforming to the final required position.

The patient wears each aligner for about two weeks before changing to the next one in the sequence, gradually moving the teeth in the process. The appliance is not suitable for all cases but is proving popular with adults who have mild to moderate problems.
